Sophia Alexander is the author of The Silk Trilogy. Loosely based on the lives of three generations of her ancestors, these historical novels are set in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, spanning from 1899 thru the 1940's. Her writing is inspired by family stories, genealogical research, fanciful romanticizations, and intuitive guesswork.
Also in the works is a biographical novel about Sophia Dorothea of Celle, the wife of King George I. This series will be about the Hanoverian monarchs of Great Britain--more distant ancestors, if her family tree holds true.
In honor of her children, Sophia Alexander has also penned a couple of young adult fantasy short stories set in Savannah. The first of these is published in the Savannah Anthology 2015--and is available to you for free by signing up for my email list (see above).
